Working backward from the scale of a house, this project engages only the kitchen, as both a hearth and circulatory core. Model building at this scale explores the culinary arts and the social functions of the kitchen. The design for the kitchen wall is sensitive to food preparation and cooking, while the opposite, south-facing window wall opens up these processes to the garden, where the food is grown, and the patio, where the food is served.
